Since returning to the classroom, I am trying to make our art projects as engaging and exciting as possible. Gelli plates and tools will give my students the opportunity to make art in a way they have never before experienced. These tools will give my students the ability to make their artwork really pop with unique backgrounds and details. They will learn how printing works and how to make their prints uniquely their own. My students will use different colors and designs to express their creativity and will satisfy the standards: P.10 Make prints using varied media, techniques, and processes. P.3d Texture: Depict visual textures in varied media. C.2a Incorporate the elements and principles of design in works of art. I feel like these tools will give my students much needed confidence to flourish and grow a love for art.
