2-PS1-1: Plan and conduct an investigation to describe and classify different kinds of materials by their observable properties. 2-PS1-3: Make observations to construct an evidence-based account of how an object made of a small set of pieces can be disassembled and made into a new object. Learners will be participating in activities that will contribute to the knowledge to assemble their own roller coasters in the classroom. We will explore several science standards before completing the final project. Books have been purchased for research along with different stem activities to help with constructing the most effective and productive roller coasters.
