Rebuilding and restocking PE supplies are very important for our students here in Port Arthur, Tx. The past few years have been very challenging with numerous hurricanes along with a global pandemic. It has devastated our community where about 50% of parents have lost homes and jobs. The newest devastation, Tropical Storm Nicholas caused floods in our neighboring state and parents and students are now displaced to our school and community. We have been sharing equipment with other schools because their equipment was destroyed in their closet due to flooding. We really need help restocking our supplies. Your help will be greatly appreciated. As a physical educator, I have the honor of teaching a class that all students look forward to going to daily. My goal is to provide each student the opportunity to play, have fun, and learn about an active lifestyle. Adding small but much needed supplies and items will tremendously help my students with the gift of laughter, joy and physical fitness. The baseball bats, whiffle balls, stopwatches and whistle will help our class get active by learning a new skill to take with them into middle school. Most importantly the smiles that these items will put on their faces will be priceless.
