My students struggle with reading. They need books that have words that are decodable. These books will be used when I teach beginning readers in small groups. The books contain words that are taught in their phonics and foundational skills lessons. They are essential for students who have difficulty decoding. We will use them as the first building blocks to becoming a successful reader. There is growing evidence from the science of reading that decodable texts should be used initially as children first start to read. My students will Roar into Reading!
