The materials in this project will allow the students with sensory needs and hyperactivity to fully participate in group activities. During center time, this will help our friends that have a difficult time attending to tasks. Currently, the students need an adult in close proximity or additional prompts in order to engage. This project will help by having a multitude of manipulatives and objects for the students to hold, sit on, and interact with. With the materials in this project, the students will have an opportunity to explore sensory materials and create independence. Having a classroom with typical developing peers and students with special needs, it can be challenging to meet the needs of all students especially during whole group time. This will allow the teachers to attend to every single student in the class so everyone can achieve their learning goal!
