Having a more robust classroom library that students can use both in and out of the school building, will help to support and enhance their literacy skills. They will be able to tap into their interests and develop their abilities to read independently and think critically. Students today are having to come face to face with societal issues that even several adults aren't equipped to tackle. Thus, in addition to building their repertoire of skills as independent learners, the diverse topics and characters will allow them to make more sense of our current state of society, so that they can better navigate their world.

About my class
