Sensory tools and social-emotional learning resources are so important for my students and their success. All of the books will be used to teach social skills and guide discussions that prompt students' self-reflection. Sensory tools will help students to self-regulate, calm down, and focus. Most of my students have behavior disorders and are most successful when they have access to tools that will help them calm down and self-regulate. There are no bad kids! Behavior is communication. For every behavior, there is an unmet need or function. The donations to this project will provide needed sensory tools and resources for the students that tend to fall through the cracks. I need your support so that I can better support my students and their diverse needs. When students' emotions are high, their logic and language are low. Everything on my list is geared to help my students cope, regulate, and be successful.
