The items that were chosen will help my students with achieving their Individual Education Plan goals. One of the most fundamental standards is RL.3.1 where students will read and determine what a text says. This skill can be practiced in the reading blocks, writing prompts, and sight word flashcards as well as the reading games that I have chosen. This is so vital as so many of my students lost these skills during the pandemic. Using the math manipulatives and games that I have chosen I will be able to help with the basic operations of solving math equations of whole numbers, money, and time. The regrouping is important in 2.NBT.B5 when solving for addition and subtraction. Without being able to practice and mentally memorize these facts my students won't be successful with multiplication and division. Money math is essential in the functional curriculum of learning math. The printer, laminating sheets, folders, velcro, and protective sheets will be used to make binders and task boxes for my students to practice skills over and over to achieve mastery. For social skills, the puzzles and games, and legos will help the kids to interact with each other and learn to play with people again. These things were lost during the pandemic and online teaching.
