These items will encourage students to cozy up with a good book. Students are learning how enjoyable reading is and that they have flexibility in their reading space options. They read independently, with a partner or with a group. They are learning to take charge of their reading by choosing their own genre as well as finding a comfortable space around the room. As the reading specialist, it is my job to instill the love of reading in all of my students. This applies to all the ELA reading standards K-5.
