My class needs a charging cart for our laptops. We were fortunate to get a class set of laptops this year, however, we did not get a charging cart for them. We use our laptops throughout the day for our lessons. We definitely need them for the NVAC Standards in writing such as writing opinion pieces with evidence since typing makes it so much easier to edit work. The kids love being able to have a computer that is just for them instead of having to share. I like that they don't have to touch each other's things and we can make sure germs like COVID don't get spread. A charging cart would make things a lot easier. Right now we have power strips sitting on a rolling cart to charge the computers. There are not enough plugs even with the power strips and they have to be charged in batches. Sometimes the computers don't get charged and then students can't participate in the activity. My students have been excluded a lot this year due to COVID and anything that can help them catch up and keep up with the class is very important. Falling behind is super stressful especially when you are trying to catch up and your computer isn't charged. Please help my class get the charging cart they need so they have one less thing to stress about in their lives.
