With these books, my students will have the opportunity to, on one hand, develop their reading comprehension skills, fluency and learn new vocabulary in Spanish. On the other hand, reading authentic books will allow my students to get to know different cultures from around the world, make connections with other people, and become citizens of a globalized world. Having a variety of books in Spanish in our classroom will allow my students to strengthen their bilingual skills and they will be able to make connections between English and Spanish through reading.
