The books will help with the development of English language arts standards for reading literature. Students will be able read the books and answer key ideas and details about the story, CCSS ELA RL.2.1, RL.2.2, RL 2.2. Thus, the reading sets will help with remediation of literacy skills and help build reading fluency and comprehension, CCSS ELA RF.2.4. The English language arts can games will serve as a resource to help with remediation of learning loss due to COVID and to solidify 2nd grade ELA concepts in a hands-on manner that allows students to learn through play.
