Learning new skills that are physically challenging requires a lot of determination and motivation. Research has consistently shown how students need to develop gross motor skills before they can improve their fine motor skills which then helps with communication and cognitive skills. The materials I am requesting will help my students improve their gross motor skills and functional mobility skills which is the foundation to learning. The materials I am requesting are very motivating and will help keep my kids engaged so they can work hard without knowing they are working! The games will get the kids moving and motivate them to do movements that are challenging for them. The bean bags can be used for mobility activities as well as identifying colors, sorting, and sensory play. These materials will help motivate my students to work hard and achieve their mobility goals. The materials are versatile and can be used with a wide range of students that I have the pleasure to service.
