A Scholastic News subscription will allow me to provide my students with non-fiction reading opportunities that relate to our Science and Social Studies standards. Students will be able to use Scholastic News Magazines in class to complete Science Stations and will also be given issues to take home and share with their families. Our school is severely lacking in nonfiction reading materials and this subscription will give my students access to engaging and exciting topics. In addition, the STEAM pack of picture books will provide me with incredible mentor texts for STEAM challenges and project based learning. My students will thrive having access to rich and engaging literature that are related to science, technology, engineering, and math.
