My students need a quiet space to remain regulated. Using the soft weighted blanket to calm their body and fidgets will be used as coping tools in order to transition back to the classroom and re-engage. Fidgets will also be used for developing fine motor skills, color recognition, counting and pressure for sensory. If the students' arousal level is too high or low, they will learn how the variety of sensory input impacts how their bodies and brains are feeling and which tools they need to use at the moment.
