The class set books will provide struggling readers with the necessary support to have access to information. We are using class sets of books to generate discussions and encourage readers listeners to construct meaningful ideas across texts, activating their prior knowledge and building on it. These books will allow all the students to enjoy information that they may not be able to read on their own, ensuring that all students feel successful by getting support from the entire group. Whole class reading will help EL students learn how to use language to make sense of the world, improving their vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills.
