I want students to have access to books with characters that look like them. We can learn so much from stories and I want my students to have opportunities to learn and make connections from these characters! Having a robust library will allow me to effectively help students! Books have a unique way of enthralling readers of all ages and engaging their mind. Bibliotherapy is effective in promoting problem solving, increasing compassion, developing empathetic understanding and enhancing self-awareness. Bibliotherapy encourages effective social behavior, clarifies values, and instills cultural identity and ethnic pride.
