This project will enhance the fourth graders at the school learn about the animal adaptations by giving them a hands-on experiment. I would love for them to have this hands-on experience to enhance their learning and increase science-content knowledge. The project will provide them with the materials needed such as a dissection kit and owl pellets as well as a chart to identify the parts within the owl pellet. Students will be able to dissect the owl pellets and to infer the type and number of prey animals the owls have consumed through the examination of the contents of their pellets. Students will also gain a better understanding of the food web and system.
