Interactive Science Notebooks are used in many Science classrooms to help students organize their work and take ownership of their learning. These notebooks are an important part of my class because it helps students with organization. Being an AVID-trained teacher, I am aware that studies show how organization techniques can allow students to thrive. Students tend to do better when their assignments are in one central location, and they are able to access resources of prior assignments to further their understanding. This makes the interactive notebook the perfect tool to keep students organized. It also allows for parents/guardians to see students work for first hand and engage in their learning.
