Unfortunately, our campus does not have an outdoor recreational area for our students to release energy; therefore, this project will provide a positive opportunity for our students to enjoy participating in a fun activity after lunch. Gaga ball is a fast-paced, high energy sport that would provide a safe and positive outlet for our middle school students. Since it is a fun and easy sport that many students with varied skill levels can play at once, it is an ideal activity that would provide brain breaks and after-lunch fun. This opportunity is important for our students as research shows that physical activity helps increase attention, lowers impulsive behaviors, and gives students' brains a break to make focusing easier.
