Help me give my students a comfortable environment to decompress, work through emotions, and feel safe. As a school counselor, it is my job to help make students feel safe, secure, and welcome. Through the use of the tables, my office will be more inviting for students to come as they work through their emotions or stress. By having welcoming furniture, students feel more confident and less intimidated by coming to the counselor's office. My goal is to have an office where students can relax and not feel stressed; the more student-centered I can make my office, the less intimidating it will feel to them. The chair also provides seating that makes parents more comfortable. With the tables, I can work one-on-one with students with school work and puzzles or games to stimulate conversation and help build relationships.
