In my classroom I use flexible seating. This allows my students to learn in comfort. They use a variety of areas to move about within the classroom. They may sit on the carpet, under their desks or tables using clip boards or computers. They are also allowed to sit at various tables around the classroom. This promotes individual and cooperative learning. The option of using bean bags will delight my students and make them excited for learning. Technology plays a huge role in the classroom today especially teaching a fourth and fifth grade combination class. The headphones will come in handy by giving my students the ability to focus while I'm with the other group. They will also be useful as replacements for broken ones. Fifth grade is a year for Science. By incorporating the Aerogarden and the Compost station, my students will gain a broader understanding of the concepts learned.
