My students need multiple representations of concepts. They need visuals and hands-on activities to make a connection to learning. My students also need incentives to persevere through activities that are out of their comfort zone. Activities that keep hands busy keep students engaged in learning. The brightly colored phonics cards with the textured dots will provide a multi-sensory instruction of phonemic awareness. The math dominoes and the manipulatives for multi-digit operations will provide students with a concrete representation of abstract numbers. Fidgets are a happy reward for a job well done.
