The following supplies will be used within our science classrooms along with helping us get a great start with our Scholar Organization for Latinos on campus. The cups and table covers will be used to demonstrate MS-PS2-4, Gravity, and how gravity is affected by mass. We will also use the cups and balloons for next year to demonstrate MS-ETS1 through 4 to build two-stage balloon rockets for our engineering design project. The 9-volt batteries will be used by our electricity standard MS-PS2-3 to show the interaction of electric and magnetic fields. Following our force and interaction unit, we will be using the jump ropes to teach wave mechanics, MS-PS4-1,2,3. The sodium benzoate strips are for our genetics unit to see who has the gene to taste the salty taste. The button machine and the day of the dead decorations are for our Scholar organization for Latinos. The Mexican candy will be given away to my students at meetings and to my science students. A dedicated group of young Latino students has helped us start off a great year. The paints and art tape will help us do a painting day where the students will show off their artistic skills and practice cultural art.
