Young students learn by doing! Help me give my students art supplies for a Native American craft --making their own dream catcher! Students also have pride in taking their work home and finding a special place to display it! While learning about Native American cultures in social studies class, we looked at their various traditions, food, and art. The dream catcher is one of the items that grabbed their interest! We read about the background in class, and I brought in one my daughter keeps in her bedroom. The students immediately wanted one of their own to display at home as well proudly! They have the supplies to make these dream catchers a keepsake would be a special second-grade memory!
