My students need a Cricut cutting machine, a Cricut wireless bluetooth adapter and the accessories to help them create their own masterpieces. My students will be able to use these materials to create personalized letters, shapes and symbols that will be added to their projects for subject areas like science, social studies and literacy. They will also be able to use these materials to create our monthly classroom bulletin boards and decorations for our classroom and hallways. This will help my students take ownership of making our environment fun and engaging. We are looking to be able to create works of art through technology assistance. My twenty first century learners are mastering different forms of technology, but they do not have access to many assisted technologies to promote creativity with art. This Cricut cutter and adapter will allow not only my students but other children throughout the building to be able to create using technology. My students also need comfortable seating throughout the classroom for independent reading time. I am trying to foster a lifetime love of reading and learning and I would love to be able to provide a comfortable place for them to read. As of now students sit at their desks or find a quiet spot on the floor or on the rug to read. I know they would enjoy their reading time more and possibly read longer if they were able to sit in a comfortable chair.
