"Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning" and "Play is our brains favorite way of learning" are two famous quotes to illustrate the importance of my project. LEGOS will be beneficial to my students because they will help students learn a variety of math concepts. LEGOS can help teach my students concepts about numbers, skip counting, patterning, number lines, 10 frames, place value, addition and subtraction facts and even addition with regrouping. My students will learn and practice these concepts in class, with their very own baggie of LEGOS. (Due to COVID, there is no sharing of materials, and each child will have his or her own bag). The students will be able to bring home their LEGOS home (or have a bag at home for practice purposes), and proudly practice and show their families the concepts they have learned in class.
