Woodridge students are problem solvers! 3-D Printing allows children to find answers to problems in a way that lets their creativity shine. Our students are collaborators. Working with others to formulate an idea and solve a problem is not only an essential childhood skill, it is also a skill that will prepare them for the future and the workforce. A 3-D printer will give them the interpersonal skills needed to thrive as an adult, community member, and global citizen. Our students love choice! 3-D printing gives students a choice in what they make. When they have a choice, they have buy-in. When they have buy-in, they can learn anything. Our students love learning! Learning to design, edit, and print allows our students to share their knowledge in a tangible way. Our students have the best ideas! I hear them everyday as I teach them 21st-century technology skills in our library. A 3-D printer would help those ideas come to life.
