Math is everywhere! My goal for this year is to increase the students' exposure to literacy within the mathematics classroom. Having recently returned from remote learning, student work appears to be weaker in terms of handwriting, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and general effort when bringing pencil to paper. My goal is to routinize the classroom to incorporate more reading, writing, and scaffolding of vocabulary. Incorporating more literacy in the math classroom will further develop my instruction to meet student needs. My goal is to help all learners feel a connection to math via different avenues while at the same time increasing student confidence.
