I am requesting an area rug, reading material, and a magnetic whiteboard that attaches to an easel. As the student gather around on the rug, I will be able to attach posters and other learning materials to the whiteboard on the portable easel. Students will also have the opportunity to show what they know with the use of the whiteboard. Building a foundation in reading is of the utmost importance to developing great readers. This rug will provide a learning environment for five different grade levels and give us a spot to come together as a group for learning, discussing, and reading. Student will be able to partner read utilizing our new reading materials with comfort instead of sitting at their desk. The stress, mask mandates, and inconsistencies of education caused by the pandemic have delayed our students' education. Coming together and learning together in a comfortable and safe environment is just what these students need!
