The learning set from Lakeshore Learning will help me teach small groups, after COVID my entire class is below grade level and over half of them are several grades behind. These tools will help me provide small group instruction to help them catch up to where they need to be. I use the smelly things such as stickers and pencils as motivation to help them reach their academic and behavioral goals. We work together to help students achieve. Other things such as erasers and dry erase markers help my students make mistakes and learn from them. We also talk a lot about being kind and coming to school to learn so we use behavior charts to keep track of their goals. All students get what they need as individuals whether it is a different chair or covers over the lights to calm the room.
