My students are as varied as the city they live in. My classroom is one of the few places where, on any given day in this extremely diverse city, you'll find people of extremely diverse backgrounds actually interacting with each other. I love teaching this class because my students are engaged, opinionated, and trying to do their best. In particular, I love teaching the literature I teach because it reflects back some small portion of the vast variety of human experience represented by my students. They enrich each other's understanding of the world; I contribute to that enrichment by offering them literature that expands their horizons even more.
