All of the students I work with have a hard time verbally expressing how they are feeling. We use a lot of art and craft activities to help students learn to express their emotions. We use all types of art materials from crayons to paints. The students love having the variety to help choose what we are using for the day. All the materials requested will help us have enough supplies to make it to the end of year. It will allow us to do more activities other than just typical art. The students love to paint and color but with the popsicles sticks and wax sticks we can do more STEM activities. The paint we have right now is old and very limited to what we can use it with. The kits for the sun catchers and rock painting let’s have a quick no prep activity for those days we want to give the students are extra reward. The kinetic sand is a great stress relief for all of my students. We use it almost daily and now this will allow us to give each student their own so we can be extra cautious with spreading germs. The sand is a real reward for them in class. We use positive reinforcers for the class. Snacks are also an important part of the day. The student love to have a variety. It is a great motivator for them.
