This project is for the student council to put on for the school. The students love the activities that are being put on by the council this year and I would love to do more. This activity gives the students at school something to look forward to in the upcoming months. We are trying to focus on social and emotional learning this year and that is exactly what this projects help with. The materials that I have chosen will help to create a fun environment for this activity. They will also get to experience something that has never been done before in my school with these materials as we have never had an activity like this. I feel like giving them this experience with these chosen items is important as they want to feel like they are a part of something bigger. The materials help my student council students create what is needed for the activity. For something like this to be successful and for the students to put it on, we need these materials to make the ambiance. There will be a few learning outcomes from this project for my students. One of the major ones I feel is team work. The will have to work in both small and large groups planning the activity. They will have to also choose more decorations and work together planning how to set it all up. By the end they should learn how working in groups can be very effective.
