The students in my class all have a diagnosis of autism, but this doesn't hold them back! These sensory items can help calm them down, motivate them to work, encourage language, and so much more. Children with autism often have a lot of sensory needs. With these various sensory items it will help them access the world around them in a different way. My students love items that they can enjoy with all of their senses. We like to use essential oils and the fan helps to distribute the various smells across the room. They also like to stand in front of the fans and feel the air on their faces. The lights and jelly fish stimulate their vision and their mind!
