I love teaching students about books and how to effectively use the library to find the books they need, but after being away I want to do so much more with or library time. Our students need to work and build up basic skills, they need to be engaged in activities that will help them with them dust off some of the skills they are a little rusty at or are new to them. By bringing stations into the library I feel it will be the best of both worlds. They will be able to see and listen to models of reading and writing skills as well as practice them on each visit. It will give me the chance to see what they are interested in and help guide them to develop those skills.
