These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Since this is the first year our school has a fifth-grade class, our classroom library is just developing. Due to the pandemic, my students have missed out on a year of reading AND socialization opportunities. With these sets of books, groups of up to four students will be able to select books to read fiction and non-fiction books while collaborating together (RL.5.10). Students can choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. This will also help build socialization and collaboration skills through the reading and discussion of the books.
