These simple items will help improve my classroom atmosphere and climate. Students with any underlying classroom behavior problems will feel something different when they enter a classroom that is welcoming. It will encourage all students to feel comfortable, and help foster a learning environment. It will help with mood, focus, and flow of each lesson. I focus 30% of each lesson on reading novels through peer-to-peer learning. My students love to feel comfortable so they can relax and lose themselves in a good book with their peers! I want to create an environment that they look forward to visiting each day, and can leave their worries, and struggles at the door.
