We finally got approval to have classroom carpets. My kids love gathering for whole group instruction in the front of the room. The best way for my students to open up and be willing to engage is to be comfortable. Gathering as a whole class, allows students to see their peers, hear their ideas, and to communicate with each other in a positive and controlled setting. This carpet will allow me to effectively have students find partners to talk with during sharing time. It will also allow me to give students a way to find a spot quickly and safely.

About my class
