My building is old, chalkboard old! I would like to create a space in my classroom to engage my students in different subjects with magnetic whiteboards. Our phonics program is amazing! But, in order for it to fully benefit students, students need to be able to manipulate objects and letters to demonstrate mastery of their phonemic awareness while engaging in learning. Students will often go up to the whiteboard and build words and sentences and pocket charts come with too many challenges. With magnetic whiteboards we can combine reading-writing practice, images and kinesthetic activity without being bound to paper and pencil.
