Pre-COVID, I would take my students to the local grocery and dollar stores every week. There, they would practice shopping, comparing prices, and checking out. Also, we would volunteer at a local food bank where they would sort and organize different donated foods. This project will teach my student work skills (sorting and organizing food), math skills, (looking at the different prices of the items) and independent living skills (going to a store and shopping). Also, some items will help my students exercise and participate in a STEM class. THANKYOU.
