These items will help my students have the learning environment that they deserve. For example, I have requested a microphone, which will help students be heard by their peers as they read aloud. This will help fulfill COVID-related learning needs, as social distancing and mask-wearing can make it harder for students to hear one another, without being able to read lips. Additionally, I have requested stress balls and fidgets for my students. These items will assist my students with focusing, and will also be used as an incentive. As we return to in-person learning, from a year of online learning, my students are needing fidgets to help stay focused and calm. Moreover, items like masks and tissues will help keep my classroom safe from the pandemic. Many of my students' masks break throughout the day, so I need to have extra for them. These standards will help fulfill all of my standards, especially my ELA standards, like RL5.3, as we do our novel units. Thank you so much for any time and consideration!!!!!!
