Engaging in meaningful discussions is a daily learning target in my class. Providing my students the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about literature allows them to better connect with the text. I want to create an experience for my students in which they are transported into culturally diverse dystopian worlds. Through literature circles, students will engage in student-led discussions and skill based activities about the literary elements of their novels that are unique to the dystopian genre. Small groups will have the opportunity to dive deep into the dystopian worlds, cultures, and characters of the selected novels.
