In our GATE classroom my students and I focus on creativity and higher level thinking using hands-on learning. These Lego BricQ Motion Kits will help my GATE students master Nevada Academic Content Standard PS2.3.2 "Make observations and/or measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion." Utilizing the Lego kits, my students will have the opportunity to participate in an engaging hands-on STEAM activity that encourages them to discover physical science in action. Students will experiment with forces, motion, and interactions using special elements like gears, levers, axles, and pulleys to build exciting creations as they actively engage in learning about physical science. With classroom sets and personal learning kits, it's flexible to use in both classroom and remote environments and doesn't require any additional technology. This makes these Lego kits an ideal solution for students in distance learning situations related to Covid. Each kit can be checked out, sanitized, and returned to the GATE classroom.
