An iPad will give my students access to the latest technology to enhance their learning. The iPad will be used for two primary reasons. First, it will be used to access quality applications that will enhance literacy, math, social studies, and science instruction. Students will be able to use the iPad to create creative digital content as a way to show mastery of content and standards. The second use for the iPad will be to give students digital assessments to better assess and plan further instruction to close learning gaps. Some of the programs we will use for this are aimswebPlus and ESGI. The main ELA standards this will help with are RF.1.3 and RF1.4 which many of my students are academically behind in. Additionally, students will be able to use the iPad to access a variety of QR code centers. The possibilities are endless for my students with access to this kind of technology. In this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
