There is so much going on in the world that we just can't see! When it comes to helping young minds comprehend the processes that allow and maintain life at a cellular level access to those unseen phenomena is game changing. Microscopes are the door that open up that unseen world. With a digital microscope my students will be able to collectively view and discuss cellular and other microscopic phenomena as they never have before. A digital microscope allows the magnified image to be shown on a digital screen like a computer or a TV, enabling the students to discuss and identify the processes in a group setting without being limited to one viewer at a time. They can help each other identify and understand. Connections that one student makes can be visually shared with others in the classroom enabling more rapid learning and growth. An example of the type of project this microscope will enable includes finding, identifying, photographing, and presenting all of the stages of cellular processes such as mitosis and meiosis.
