In my science class, we learn about Thermal Energy and thermal energy transfer. To wrap up our unit, students will follow the Design Model of imagining, planning, designing, and building their solar ovens. Students will keep a record of the temperature within their oven while they cook a tasty treat. Students will complete a reflection to tie in what they learned through thermal energy transfer. The UV sunglasses will be used for safety measures as students will be using their ovens outdoors to cook their food. This project will be one that students will never forget.
