These materials will be used to help expand my students ideas of what art can be/include and what it can be made of. It follows with the Nevada Academic Content Standard of VA: Cr2.6.1 "Demonstrate openness in trying new ideas, materials, methods, and approaches in making works of art and design" because the supplies can be used in new ways to create and display student artwork. The content standard: VA:Re7.6.2 "Analyze ways that visual components and cultural associations suggested by images influence ideas, emotions, and actions" is also emphasized using these supplies because they can help my students make connections with the artwork that they create. Displaying artwork, whether in our schools, or in the local coffee shop gives students and their families something to be proud of. Besides having the supplies to make art we also need the supplies to display it proudly. With these supplies we can make and display our future.
