During the Covid pandemic, my students lacked physical in-class resources and social connections. One of the important things I want them to remember is that a good book can take you to places in your imagination, even when you can't go anywhere physically. My classroom Little Library for Language Learners will give my students the opportunity to read independently, at grade-level, in English, or in Spanish. I chose these books with care to be middle-school appropriate and asked my students which books they would prefer to have access to in class. My students are developing a love of the written word in English and in Spanish. I hope my growing Little Library for Language Learners will continue to foster their love for language.
