All of these items will help my students create memories and special takeaways from math class. Some things will be used for adding in their notetaking by creating interactive notebooks. Some things will be used to help students practice math in fun and active ways. Creativity ignites neurons in students brains to aid in learning. This is especially helpful for students learning geometry and understanding the reasons for why math works, why math is important, and how they will use math in everyday life. Students need the appropriate tools to "see" and "feel" the math in order to learn the math. (G.CO.D12 Make geometric constructions, G.GMD.A Volumes of Solids, G.GMD.B Visualize 2D to 3D, and making sense of problems and persevere in solving them standard of math practice)
